Day 1: Arrival in Reckong Peo (2,290m)/ Kalpa/Reckong Peo/Tangling/Purbani

• Arrive at Reckong Peo or Kalpa or Tangling village or Purbani Village, Reckong Peo the administrative headquarters of Kinnaur district.
• Rest and acclimatization.
• Overnight stay in Reckong Peo/ Kalpa

Day 2: Reckong Peo to Tangling (8 km) & Trek to Ganesh Park (3,500m) (9 km Trek)

• Early morning departure from Reckong Peo/Kalpa to Tangling village.
• Registration and document verification at the Tangling.
• Medical check-up for fitness assessment.
• Start the 9 km uphill trek to Ganesh Park (also known as Parvati Kund).
• The trek involves steep climbs and narrow trails through dense forests.
• Overnight stay in Ganesh Park (camps/tents stay).

Note: Pilgrims must ensure they have a valid Medical Fitness Certificate issued within the last 7 days.

Day 3: Ganesh Park to Kinnaur Kailash Shivling (6,050m) & Back to Ganesh Park (12 km Trek)

• Early morning trek towards Kinnaur Kailash Shivling (approximately 12 km round trip).
• Visit the sacred Shivling, a naturally formed rock that stands 79 feet tall.
• Spend some time in prayers and rituals.
• Descend back to Ganesh Park.
• Overnight stay at Ganesh Park.

Note: Due to the high altitude and extreme conditions, pilgrims are advised to move cautiously and follow guidelines strictly.

Day 4: Ganesh Park to Tangling & Return to Reckong Peo

• After breakfast, start the trek back to Tangling village (9 km).
• From Tangling, take a vehicle back to Reckong Peo /Kalpa.
• Rest and overnight stay in Reckong Peo /Kalpa

Day 5: Departure from Reckong Peo/ Kalpa

• Relaxed morning in Reckong Peo after completing the Yatra.
• Explore nearby areas such as Kalpa or visit local monasteries and temples.
• Depart for your onward journey as per your travel arrangements.

Inclusions

• Registration & Permit for the Yatra.
• Medical check-up facility at Reckong Peo.
• Basic tented accommodation at Ganesh Park.
• Guest House Stay at Reckong Peo/Kalpa/Tangling
• Drinking water facility at designated rest points.
• Emergency medical support & rescue team.

Exclusions

• Personal expenses like food, snacks, or beverages.
• Porter, pony services.
• Travel expenses to and from Reckong Peo /Kalpa.
• Travel insurance.
• Emergency evacuation charges in case of injury/altitude sickness.

Important Notes:

• The Yatra coincides with the monsoon season, making the route prone to landslides and unpredictable weather conditions.
• Pilgrims must be physically fit and accustomed to high-altitude trekking.
• The District Administration reserves the right to cancel the Yatra in case of adverse weather conditions. In this condition no refund shall be made.
• Carrying a medical fitness certificate is mandatory.
